Overview

Mylo ("Mylo," "we," "us") builds focused tools for small service businesses. This policy covers the Mylo suite of apps, including Asker.

We collect as little data as possible, store nothing you don't expect us to store, and never sell or share your information.

Asker: What We Collect

Asker is an app that lets you send Google review requests to clients via iMessage. Here is exactly what the app collects and stores:

  • Apple ID (Sign in with Apple): When you sign in, Apple provides a unique user identifier. We use this to identify your account. Apple never shares your real email address unless you choose to share it.
  • Business name and Google review link: You enter these during setup. They are stored locally on your device and synced to your account so the app works correctly.
  • Your first name: If you enter your name during onboarding, it is stored locally on your device to personalize your experience.
  • Send history: When you send a review request, the client's first name and a timestamp are saved to your local history. That's it. No phone numbers, no message content, nothing else.
  • Subscription status: Managed through Apple's App Store and RevenueCat. We know whether you have an active subscription. Transaction details are handled by Apple.

What We Don't Collect

  • Phone numbers: Asker picks a contact from your iPhone's native contact picker. That contact's number is passed directly to iMessage and is never stored by the app, never uploaded to our servers, and never retained in any form.
  • Message content: The review request message is pre-filled and sent through iMessage. We never see or store the message after it's sent.
  • Your contacts: Asker uses Apple's system contact picker, which runs in a separate process. The app does not have access to your contacts database.
  • Location data: The app never accesses your location.

How Messaging Works

Asker uses Apple's native iMessage to send review requests from your device to your customers. The app pre-fills a message with your Google review link, opens iMessage, and you tap send. Every message is sent manually by you, from your own iPhone number, through your own iMessage account.

Asker does not send SMS or text messages on your behalf, does not send automated messages, and does not send marketing messages to you. The app may send standard iOS push notifications about activity in the app. You can disable these in your iPhone Settings.

Analytics and Crash Reporting

Asker uses Sentry for crash reporting and PostHog for product analytics. Both are configured to collect only anonymized, non-identifying usage data.

  • Crash data (Sentry): If the app crashes, we receive a report with technical details (device model, iOS version, line of code that failed). This is never linked to your identity.
  • Product analytics (PostHog): We track basic app events (app opened, review request sent, onboarding completed) to understand how the app is being used. This data is not linked to your identity and is not used for advertising.

Third-Party Services

  • RevenueCat: Handles subscription management. Collects purchase transaction data linked to your Apple ID. RevenueCat Privacy Policy

Data Retention

Your send history and settings are stored locally on your device. If you uninstall Asker, this data is removed. We do not retain server-side copies of your history.

Subscription records are retained by RevenueCat and Apple for billing purposes according to their respective policies.

Your Rights

You can delete your Asker account and all associated data at any time by contacting us at hello@buildwithmylo.com. We will respond within 30 days.

Children

Asker is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 13.

Changes to This Policy

If we make material changes to this policy, we'll update the date at the top and notify you through the app where appropriate.
