A letter from the founder
More than a decade in high-growth tech companies. I built teams and systems to drive results.
Then I left and started a cleaning company.
That company was profitable within the first six months. The demand was there from the start, and we prioritized attention to detail and treating every client like the relationship mattered.
At this point in my career, I had worked with countless enterprise tools and CRMs, but none of them were the right fit for our young but quickly growing company. The enterprise platforms were expensive and built for companies ten times our size. The cheaper, simpler ones weren't built for how a service business actually works.
Starting a cleaning company also pulled me into a world I hadn't been a part of before. I became deeply connected to other local service business owners, and we talked constantly about the same headaches:
- Scheduling
- Chasing down reviews
- Estimates that take too long to write
- Admin that eats the day
- Leads that go cold before anyone follows up
I knew how to solve these problems. I'd spent a career building operations and systems for large companies. I just didn't like any of the tools already out there for businesses like ours, so I built my own.
Everything we build, we use in our own company first. If a tool doesn't earn its place in how we run our business, it doesn't ship.
Mylo makes tools for service businesses, built by someone who runs one.
